SAMAYA VAIDYA
Welcome to To the Core!
I am Samaya Vaidya, an 11th grader currently studying in the Cathedral and John Connon School in Mumbai. My interests lie majorly in Biology and Chemistry, and I intend on studying something along those lines in university.
As I embarked on my journey into the vast world of STEM as a young sophomore, I was shocked to see almost no opportunities for me to develop my research and writing skills. To the Core is therefore an online platform for teenagers to voice their opinions on recent updates in the science world, travel through its rich history, and even explore interdisciplinary topics, in order to garner a holistic view on what it means to be a person studying the sciences.
My aim, through establishing this platform, is to give teenagers the opportunity that I was not given. I want them to be able to build confidence in their academic writing skills without being afraid to make mistakes. Furthermore, I also want To the Core to inspire curiosity and encourage critical thinking, fostering a deeper appreciation for the sciences. I hope that in the future this will help them when they study at higher levels and write extensive pieces of academic writing.
